The app

The OwlyScan app is where you search, read excerpts and manage your API keys.

Open the app

The app lives at app.owlyscan.com. Sign in with your work email: we email you a sign-in link, valid for 2 hours and usable once. There is no password. Once your Access is live you can also open the app from the menu of owlyscan.com.

  • Type your query in the bar. The syntax is described in search syntax.
  • The results are excerpts: the words you searched, in context.
  • Each result shows its channel and its date. Your own records are shown as they are, the others with names hidden. In your records, passwords and hashes are masked: only their length and at most their first two characters show.
  • In records that are not yours, the words you searched stay visible when they name a company, a brand or a domain. A person’s name stays hidden.
  • Each distinct query counts as one search of your week.
  • Access shows the first 500 results of a search. The app tells you so: “12,480 results · Access shows the first 500”.
  • The list Your searches reopens a search for free for 90 days, as of its date: nothing indexed later appears. It holds every search you made, in the app, with a key or through your AI. To see newer records, search again.

Results not shown

  • A result that reads “Being prepared…” is not shown yet: its excerpt is still being prepared. If it cannot be prepared, it then reads “Not shown in Access.”
  • A result that reads “Not shown in Access.” is not shown in Access, and that will not change.
  • A result marked “Values hidden” shows only its field names and your search words: no link to your company was found.
  • A result marked “Likely yours” probably concerns you, without certainty: company names show, people’s details stay hidden. It may concern another company.

Locked features

The app shows the whole product, and what is not in Access is locked. A locked feature is part of Unlimited. It leads to the plans.

  • alerts and reports;
  • export and invitations;
  • opening, explaining or formatting a full document;
  • the url:, file: and title: field filters.

The AI copilot workspace

The copilot workspace is a demonstration. It runs on fictional data about a made-up company and answers a set of prepared questions. Nothing you do there runs a search. It shows what Ecosystem looks like, which is on quote.

API keys and AI connection
